Geographic Information System(G.I.S) have been seen to have applications in many areas of managing information that has both spatial and non-spatial context and other studies have shown that it is possible to apply GIS to tourism.

About Uyo

Uyo is the state capital of Akwa Ibom, in South South Nigeria. The city became the capital of the state on September 23, 1987 following the creation of Akwa Ibom State from erstwhile Cross River State. IBOM UNITY PARK

Also known as Cenotaph to the indigenes of Uyo, Unity Park serves as a public park and cenotaph for fallen horses. The Unity Park serves as a multipurpose centre playing host to different activities on Saturdays from weddings and football matches to yoga. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day holds here annually.
